interested in becoming a trustee?
Coventry & Warwickshire Friend is governed by a Board of Trustees all of whom have diverse backgrounds and bring with them a variety of skills and qualifications.
Trustees are the people legally responsible for the overall management, decision-making in the charity and are also responsible for the direction and performance of the charity.
What are the qualities needed to be a trustee?
“Trustees need to be able – and willing – to give time to the efficient administration of the charity and the fulfilment of its trusts. We recommend they be selected on the basis of their relevant experience and skills and must be prepared to take an active part in the running of the charity.”
The Charity Commission
Trustees generally attend one meeting every 6 weeks on a Saturday. If you are interested in becoming a trustee, please contact our administrator firstname.lastname@example.org

so what make us special?
Nothing makes us special, other than our willingness to give some of our free time to support those who are passing through a crisis, need information or just need to chat.
We are always looking for volunteers who can help us:
- staff our helpline
- run our social and support groups
- help us with our publicity
- write articles for our website / newsletters
- design promotional material (for print & web)
- assist with maintaining our website
Helpline volunteers don’t need qualifications or experience and your age and background are immaterial, however, you must be:
- a good listener
- over 17
- willing to commit to a 2 hour evening shift every two weeks.
Please note that all volunteer roles are subject to a Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) check and that we require all of our volunteers to identify as Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual or Trans
