As part of Coventry Pride’s celebration of LGBT History Month they are having several talks, a film screening and a pannel discussion bassed on LGBT themes within Religion, Belief and Philosophy.

02 Feb – Week 1 – Islam & the LGBT Community, LGBT History Month Talk.

week is being given by Khakan Qureshi, a gay Muslim & founder of ‘Finding a Voice’ Birmingham social group for South Asian LGBT.

09 Feb – Week 2 – Film Night

16 Feb – Week 3 – LGBT History Month -Week 3 – ‘Beyond Leviticus LGBT Christianity in the 21st Century’

The talk this week is being given by Ric Scott an out and Proud ‘Gay’ Methodist Minister he specialises in Art Sensuality and faith and how they work together for a deeper spiritual understanding of Christianity regardless of Sexuality or Gender Identity.

 

23 Feb – Week 4 – ‘Religion, Belief, Philosophy & The LGBT Community’ Multi -Faith Discussion Panel.

To end the LGBT History Month Events we are hosting a Multi-Faith discussion panel comprising Religious & Non-Religious members of the local LGBT Community and invited guests as well.
